Pamela Adlon (creator/star/director) as a working single mom and actress raising three daughters in LA. 5 seasons, complete (ended 2022). Critically adored. Originally co-created with Louis C.K. before he was removed from the show after 2017; Adlon ran S3-S5 solo and the show is widely regarded as having gotten *better* after she took full control. 💗 Sue's lane: character-driven, character development, flawed-people-being-human. *Vega note: drama-leaning but comedy-coded, so Victor's competence doctrine doesn't strictly apply; still, Adlon's Sam Fox is hyper-competent as a working actress + sole-parent juggling chaos.*
